***PROGRAM CANCELLED DUE TO COYOTE ATTACKS NEAR DOG PARK:***
***SMR CLOSED SOUTH OF S.O. AVE. UNTIL JULY 6TH***

**TRAIL WORK, Sunday, June 4th, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.**
This month we will again be working on both the Pingry Trail (s
wale improvement and culvert clearing) and the Lenape Trail (water bars, swales) near their intersection. This trail section is not easily accessed, so we will meet at the Dog Park and carpool to a closer location. **Meet at the [Dog Park](https://www.google.com/maps/place/South+Mountain+Dog+Park/@40.739827,-74.289862,311m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x89c3ac1569a8bf37:0x89b2e6a67f87f323!8m2!3d40.7398272!4d-74.2898648!16s%2Fg%2F1vxzbkns?hl=en), 10 Bear Lane, Maplewood**.

Trail work is physically challenging but very satisfying as we use hand tools to build and repair trails. Participants must be 15+ years. Those younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants should wear long pants due to [ticks](https://www.somocon.org/?page_id=193928&fb) and sturdy shoes, and bring gloves (though backup gloves will be available). Tools, water, and a snack will be provided. (Registration is not required.)
