TRAIL WORK, **Sunday, Dec 17th** (moved from Dec.10th and Dec. 3rd due to rain forecast), 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Last work session of the year! It may be a bit chilly, but the ground is unlikely be frozen! We will be repairing and do some rerouting of the Lenape Trail immediately south of the Openwood Trail steps. **Meet at the the parking lot off South Orange Ave., near Hemlock Falls.** (Note: This parking lot is accessible only from the eastbound lane of South Orange Ave. Also, if the lot is full, you can park at Tulip Springs and walk the quarter mile to the lot following the Lenape Trail.)
Trail work is physically challenging but very satisfying as we use hand tools to build and repair trails. Participants must be 15+ years. Those younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants should wear long pants due to [ticks](https://www.somocon.org/?page_id=193928&fb) and sturdy shoes, and bring gloves (though backup gloves will be available). Tools, water, and a snack will be provided. (Registration is not required.)
